Sea Ceremonies
It begins at Coal Harbour, Dún Laoghaire, where we meet your party and board together. Out on Dublin Bay, at the spot you've chosen, the boat comes to rest and the service takes place at whatever pace feels right. Your loved one's ashes are returned to the sea. Then, in your own time, we bring everyone safely back to shore.
Every service is different. Some families want a few quiet minutes and nothing more. Others bring readings, prayers, or music played onboard.
We accommodate both, and everything in between. There is no script, no schedule to keep, and no rush.
Making it Personal
You are welcome to bring flowers or biodegradable petals to scatter on the water alongside the ashes. If you'd like music played during the service, we can accommodate that on board. Some families choose to say a few words; others prefer silence. A celebrant or officiant is also welcome to join the group if you are planning a more formal service.
After the ceremony, we provide a GPS certificate recording the exact coordinates of the scattering location, so you can return to the same waters on anniversaries if you wish.

Practical Details
We carry up to 11 guests per boat, keeping the service intimate. All passengers are provided with all-weather gear and life jackets. The full trip takes approximately 1.5 Hours though we work to your pace on the water.
A Special Bay
Dublin Bay is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, one of the most protected and ecologically significant stretches of coastline in Ireland. Scattering ashes at sea in Irish waters requires no licence or permit. We ask only that any materials brought on board, flowers, urns, or tributes, are fully biodegradable.
